My Story

I've created this page because I joined the #BagWalkers movement. I'm inspired by the work that Classroom of Hope do, so I wanted to raise money to help build a school in Gitumba, Rwanda as part of my participation in BagWalkers . Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. $40 provides 10 bricks plus labour or $100 provides 25 bricks plus labour. The more people that know about Classroom of Hope , the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.

Everyone who donates to my #BagWalkers campaign will receive a detailed impact report with data, photos and GPS coordinates on google maps when the Gitumba school is complete.

I'm walking to help build a school for children in the village of Gitumba, Rwanda, who currently walk 5 hour each day to get to and from school. They deserve to be safe and to receive a quality education. We are walking for them so they don't have to! Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

Hi there! Thanks so much for visiting our #BagWalkers page!

We're a team of passionate individuals walking for children's education. For many children around the globe getting to and from school everyday is a very challenging task. There are children who have to take unimaginable journeys to get the education so many of us take for granted.

This year we are walking for the children of Gitumba, Rwanda. Over 400 children from the village of Gitumba walk 2.5 hours to get to school in the next village. Each day, to get to school, these children hike through a mountainous jungle where their safety is at risk. Then, they walk 2.5 hours to get back home again. That's 5 hours a day that could be better spent with family, doing homework, and just having fun!

We're walking to build a school for these children in the village of Gitumba. They deserve to be safe and to receive a quality education. We are walking for them so they don't have to!

Please support our #BagWalkers campaign so we can change the lives of the children of Gitumba.
